Maxence Legout

Maxence Legout is the founder of Insight MSK. He is a specialist physiotherapist with over 15 years’ experience helping people with musculoskeletal conditions. Max has worked in France, in Belgium, in Switzerland and has been practicing in the UK for 8 years. He is a well-established senior NHS clinician in South London where he performs over 2000 ultrasound guided procedures each year.
Max is fully registered with the Health & Care Professions Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. He is also licensed to prescribe and administer medicines in the UK.

Max has always been passionate about physical activity and supporting people to develop their full potential. Early on, he was conscious that being physically active and healthy plays a major role in maintaining positive mental health and wellbeing. After a Bachelor in Sport Sciences in 2007 from Le Mans University in France, he then obtained his Master’s degree in physiotherapy from Brussels, Belgium during which he achieved top scores and the highest graded MSc dissertation from his student cohort. He then developed his expertise by pursuing post graduate university degrees in musculoskeletal medicine, advanced clinical practice and CASE accredited medical ultrasound.
His professional experience is broad and marked by innovation and forward thinking. He has worked in Europe’s leading sports & fitness clubs, in rehabilitation and orthopaedics services as well as in emergency and radiology departments in busy NHS university hospitals in London. He pioneered the use of ultrasound scan for musculoskeletal injuries in the Emergency Department at King’s College Hospital in London. Involved in teaching, Maxence has also been a visiting lecturer at the University of Louvain in Belgium and currently teaches the first and only MSK ultrasound course for emergency clinicians in the UK. He also teaches ultrasound guided injections to doctors in Belgium.
Throughout his career, Maxence has built a solid professional network and collaborates closely with some of the best healthcare professionals in London. As an exercise specialist, Max has a holistic approach and possesses strong skills to apprehend complex health issues.
